I obtained my medical degree at Auckland University and did my radiology residency at Auckland Hospital. I did two fellowships, the first at McMaster University Medical Center, Hamilton Ontario Canada in ultrasound and breast imaging and the second fellowship in musculoskeletal and breast imaging at Mayo Clinic Rochester Minnesota. I was on staff at the VA Hospital affiliated with Duke University Durham North Carolina and also back to New Zealand at Auckland Hospital before returning to Mayo Clinic Rochester Minnesota in 2000. I am now a Professor of Radiology subspecializing in musculoskeletal, breast and emergency radiology. I am a Fellow of the Society of Breast Imaging and a member of the Society of Skeletal Radiology and the International Skeletal Society.
