AMSIG 2019 - MEETING APP

EVENT APP

The AMSIG Annual Meeting for 2019 will employ a Meeting App, which will include:

  • the meeting programme
  • abstracts
  • speaker biographies and talk summaries
  • attendee list
  • sponsor and exhibitor listings
  • a live Q&A function during the main sessions
  • a ‘Cases of the Day’ quiz
  • meeting alerts to keep you updated during the course of the meeting

NOTE: *Due to recent improvements in our meeting app software, we recommend that if you have utilised the Events App by EventsAIR at a previous meeting that you delete and reinstall the app on your device to make the most of the latest technology.

  • Once downloaded, you are able to ‘add it to your homescreen’ using your web-browser settings

Please note, some functions of the app are only available for users who are logged-in (such as viewing and messaging your fellow attendees, creating your own agenda, posting questions during selected sessions, and updating your profile photo).

If several icons within the app appear greyed out/lighter in colour, then you need to log-in to access the content of those icons. Once you have logged-in for the first time, you will not need to re-enter your email address and app pin.

Your personalised login details will be emailed to you by Friday 22 March
– if you do not receive these, have misplaced the email, or you have issues accessing the app, please contact the Meeting Managers via email

PERSONAL INFORMATION

When you log-in to the app for the first time, a pop-up box will appear asking whether you would like to opt-in or opt-out of the App User List within the app. If you decide to opt-in to share your details, your basic profile will appear in the list (name, organisation, position and country), but your personal contact details, such as your phone number and email address, will not be shared. Please note, you can update your visibility preferences at any time by clicking on the My Details icon.

The app also includes a Contact Exchange function. If you would like to exchange contact details with another attendee, you can click on the Contact Exchange icon within the app, and scan each other’s QR code – contact details which will be shared include your email, address and phone number entered during registration.
